Portions: 4

  • 1 kg of flour
  • 1 cube of yeast (25 gr)
  • Lukewarm water
  • 2 teaspoons of salt


  • Put the flour into a large bowl and mix with salt, slowly add lukewarm water, then the yeast and keep mixing well until the dough is soft and smooth.
  • Transfer the dough onto a working surface and continue kneading to form a loaf. (You can divide the dough to form more loaves of the size you want). Put in a baking tray and leave to rise in a warm place, covered with a cloth.
  • After about an hour, put it back on the working surface, knead again and finally reform the loaf. With a knife, make a cut on the surface. Place the loaf back on the baking tray and leave it to rise for about another 2 hours.
  • Finally place it in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
