Let’s celebrate Carnival at Orsara di Puglia

It’s Carnival time at Orsara di Puglia, with DJ sets, slow food and a great parade!

At Orsara di Puglia, a small town located in the Daunia Mountains, the Carnival is already back! From today, Saturday 1st, to Sunday, 2nd March, the village will be hosting several exciting initiatives with masquerade parades, music and fine gastronomy!
The event kicked off yesterday, Friday 28th, with the Masquerade Party and a DJ set from Leonard at Silo’s. Today, Saturday 1st, the celebration will continue at 4.30pm with a “Cooking Grand Prix” in collaboration with Slow Food Foggia and Daunia Mountains, followed by a conference at 6.30pm in Sala San Francesco on how to maintain a correct and healthy nutrition.

The celebrations will end tomorrow, Sunday  2nd, at 3.30pm, with the fifteenth edition of the Carnival Parade, where all masquerade people and performers will walk through the streets of the town. Finally, at 5.00pm, at St. Peter’s Square, the Carnival will close off with a big fire where a Carnival puppet will be burned. Games and  entertainment will last until the end of the day.
