It’s all set in Ruvo di Puglia for the 9th edition of the Carnival 2014, an event that for years has become an important recurrence in the calendar of Puglia’s events. The Carnival kicked off on Monday 24th February, and the scene is careful managed under the direction of Michael Pelicans and the “Biagio Minafra” Theatre Association. The event is already expected to register thousands of attendees like every year.
Celebrations will last until next Tuesday, 4th March with several events planned, which are not to be missed!
On Thursday, 27th February, Ruvo di Puglia will celebrate the “Fat Thursday” at Piazza Garibaldi with “U ‘Calzaune de Riuve.” This will be followed on Saturday, 1st March, by the Masquerade Parade through the streets of the town. On Sunday, 2nd March, at the Hotel Pineta there will be a masquerade party, called “Veglioncino Mascherato”. Carnival celebrations will end on “Fat Tuesday” on 4th March, with “U’ Funerole de Rocchetidde MBA.”
